I've completed the first step of my first tutorial. I decided to show it in steps just in case it's not clear and easy to understand.

I used google pages to set my tut's so here is the link http://sites.google.com/site/blendercreate/tutorials/blocks

Feel free to try it out and tell me if its good bad or ugly. Grin

It is not a bad tutorial, I can follow it, then again I'm insane so you can probably ignore me.   Grin

The one detail that sticks out as being somewhat misleading is the labeling of the edit buttons as edit mode, that might confuse someone reading your tutorial and then moving to another tutorial.  Oh yes, and for scaling the block you can hit "s" and then type "0.7" then pressed "enter" or "left click" to accept the scale of the block.  This feature comes in handy when using a laptop.

Thanks for the tips rji,

That's the problem, trying to translate my favorite techniques into the easiest way to do something and blender leaves you with many ways to do the same action.

Good point on the "edit mode" I"ll change that in the morning.

It will really be a problem when 2.5 is released and everyone's hotkeys will be different (they will become a user configuration option).

That's scary - MORE options in Bender.   Shocked

I'm not complaining, we'll finally get a smoke/fire simulation, volumetric rendering, modern modeling tools (hopefully), editable particle caches (hopefully), and a render API so people can export all of blender's options to external renderers, all with a UI that is a little easier to navigate.
