You know, if I didn’t know better, I’d say your menagerie was made in Inkscape. That's how close it looks to something done in Inkscape. Well done, my friend.

Yea, but I gave up on inkscape a while ago.....it just will not work well on my computer. The only thing about doing this in gimp is that they are not scalable, I don't think.
