Go ahead and open the document properties dialog.

File --> Document Properties...

On the Page tab, set your desired page size under Custom Size. Set the Width & Height and remember to have a check mark in Show Page Border.

An easy way to keep your page centered in the view window is to press the 5 key above the main keyboard, not the number key pad.

When you're ready to output your finished image, go to File --> Export Bitmap...

Remember to choose Page under the Export Area.

You'll see the Bitmap Size is the same as your Custom Size.

Choose the directory and file name you want and click Export.

Cheers

Thanks Jaws, I sort of remember having to do something like that when I made buttons for my web page. At the time I didn't get the full connection thanks for making things clear.
