Hi,
Piki (pronounced Picky) here, though I sometimes go by Pikidalto. I am webmaster of the Ark Linux website.

I have been using Linux since February of 2007. The first distro that I tried was Ubuntu, which would not work at all for me, so I quickly discovered Ark, and from there, Yoper and Unity. These are my main distros of choice. I love Linux and it's philosophies of choice, freedom, and a global community.

I will enjoy being apart of another piece of the F\OSS Community  Wink

Hi Piki,

I was right behind you as far as turning to Linux full time, me June 2007. Tried Knoppix a couple of time previous to that but could never get on the Internet.

Welcome to LGU.

Cheers ~ Ed

One thing I forgot to mention is my limited Internet. I still (embarrassingly) live with my mom at age 22. She and I don't always get along, so she'll sometimes hide the modem. This forces me to ocaissionly use my limited cell phone Internet (and I'll sometimes check in on the cell phone). I tend to type things on one line on the phone due to the lack of an Enter key, and I'll type fewer paragraphs on the cell phone. But don't worry, I'll still check in regularly, whether by home Internet, library Internet, or cell phone Wink

At least you have a roof over your head, there are plenty of people that can't say that.

For the record, you should only be embarrassed if you are a yacht sailing BP executive.

I'm not complaining about not having a roof over my head, just giving a heads up in case I don't respond right away Smiley
