ok, I think see the problem.
you need to install ' gtk-kde4 ' from synaptic and then the option should apear(in 'configure your desktop')
'Allow GTK to use KDE4 widget styles
This app give you ability to change appearance of GTK
applications in KDE4. For this purpose you may use GTK
stuff, or your current KDE stuff: widget styles, icons and
fonts. GTK-KDE4 can help you unify Qt and GTK+ apps appearance.'
i think kde is at about 4.6

As you can see I now have the gtk thing, but I have no Lost and Found.

I suppose I can live without that?
I opened up the Gimp and Inkscape and they now appear in that sorta sicking green color I have.

I need to change colors to something else!! Any suggestions? Has there been any research on which colors might improve one's Gimp/Inkscape skills? Definitely need that.
Thanks so much for your help.
