Speaking of which, and it's just slightly off topic, I just read somewhere that the difference between a Quattro and a GeForce is the drivers. Apparently, you're paying a blackmail fee to use GL in anything other than games by purchasing the Quattro. The only difference is the drivers and the card reports itself as a Quattro, allowing the drivers to work. There's a group offering software to unlock GeForce cards to be used as Quattros, but it's only in Windows. If such software could come to Linux...  |
