Hi all ... it is with deep regret that i am withdrawing from participating in this forum for a while ... maybe all together ... firstly i want to thank Gemini and the other members of the admins and mods for being great guys ... my decision to remove my work and comments has nothing to do with them in anyway ... i have recently received a few comments/messages from people about my work and how i carry myself on certain forums ... as of today i will not be posting my work anywhere other than on the forums that ask me to do work for them ... any personal work i do i will keep to myself ... i do not like being called a hack and a wannabe ... so it is with this that i have removed my posts ... links ... and images so that people cannot accuse me of these things ... i will continue to be a member but only on a view only basis ... i will not stop promoting Linuxgraphicsusers.com when asked for the best place to get design help ... thankyou all for being supportive when i have participated in this forum and i will watch avidly Kori  |

Sorry to hear that, I am new as a member to to this forum, but have been watching it for quite some time. I've just looked through all of the threads that you have posted in and see nothing from any of the members here that would cause you to do take down your artwork, so I assume the issue is from elsewhere.. Kori, I am sad to see you doing this. If the mentioned instances happened here please let us know, so we can address the matter.
LGU was founded on the ideas of being a "safe" place, away from the type of things which happen on many forums today. A place where artists/designers can relax and breath among friends, no matter what's going on anywhere else.

I can't believe this. This is the last place on the web I would expect this. I have no idea what happened but the consequences sadden me.
Edit: I was so taken aback when I first read this that when I posted I forgot there had been mention of the fact that this decision does not reflect on any issues with this forum or its members.

As someone with a lot of experience with the general nastiness of people on the internet, I can safely say that you shouldn't allow anyone that has no communication skills and is obviously jealous of your work to dictate your actions, but it is your choice. Ignore the nastiness when possible, use it to improve where necessary, just don't let it get to you.  |

Kori is well aware that we are all sad to see him do this but, for what ever reason he feels the need to do so, I ask that everyone respect his privacy and decision. I will leave this open for those who want to express their sadness to see him not around for now, as well as his artwork. But we ask please to only add those comments and not anything to do with asking him what happened or even speculating or advice from here on. If there are any further posts related to the last sentence, we will need to lock this thread, out of respect for Kori. Thank you. |
