Nice to see real dog-lovers over here,
You can see ours singing at

http://www.stajl.biz/sn/index-fl.html

She was taken from the slovak republic where she should have been killed . . .
stray dogs get killed if they are not taken within a period between 1 and 4 weeks.

Hi Lunoob,

we do not know what breed, but I guess it is a mixed breed of all kinds.
In the slovak republic lookalikes are available.

My wife and I ran into rescuing dogs from "killing-stations" where stray
dogs that are caught by the police have between 1 and 4 weeks before
they are killed.

We have arranged some support for a shelter where they do not kill dogs
and that these dogs get a home in austria or germany. Even Xara from
england spended its programm Webdesigner for a 16 year old girl that
is very actively involved in managing new homes for those dogs.

This one, Lilly, was completely mentally disturbed when we took her, she should only be
passed on to the next, but we said she can stay for one night, then the next and so on,
so she is ours now.

Very cute dog... clearly there is a fair mix of doberman from the markings and colorations, and in the areas of the face and ears. probably mixed with some breed of collie.
These dogs would be an instant hit here in the States. If there were a way to contact any group which specializes in rescuing animals I am sure there could be a way to bring these beautiful animals into the U.S. I am betting this mix breed would fair well in dog shows, etc. as they seem to have two very intelligent and trainable bloodlines.  Wink

Hi Gemini,

it is not realy dobermann but mini-pincher, she is only 9,5 kg.

And one thing is true, she is much too intelligent for her own good.
She learned command like sit and down, give a paw and the other
in about 3 hours in a language other then the language where she
was born.

If we just say in german "let's go back" she turns, we never learned her
to do that.
Biggest problem, she has a hunting instinct, everything small that moves,
like mice, is not safe for her.

so she is ours now.

By strange coincidence, this is our "Lilly."

She's an American Pit Bull Terrier who showed up at our door at 1:30 am a couple of months ago with no tags.  She was soaking wet and eager to please - and more eager to eat.  She showed signs of typical abuse for this particular breed, so we took her in. Whoever owned her didn't want her or didn't deserve her.  My eldest son has adopted her.

Hi Lunoob,

strange coincidence, have a look at our former dog, he died in april 2007.
A terrier as you can see with white socks and a white collar, like yours,
only smaller he was 8 kg.

Be carefull, the vets always told us that especially terrier are very sensitive dogs,
never ever give cortison it can provoke cushing disease. They have a bad
reputation these bull terriers but I have know a lot that are the most lovable dogs
one can imagine, it all depends on the owner.

Any idea how old she is?

You folks are really awesome and very kind people. Nice to see people who care for animals this way. I love dogs but sadly I am extremely allergic to them, and my allergies trigger my asthma so... no dogs for me.
But, as a boy I had Max who was a mix between a Dingo and black lab and I loved him very much. Once, when I was sick as a little boy I laid down next to him and fell asleep in the kitchen and he would not allow either of my parents to come near me.
Max died at 14 when he got loose on winter day and it is thought he had a heart attack and then was hit by a town plow either after he passed or was passing. The visibility that day was really poor and the driver was really upset.

We had Bingo, who was a long haired golden lab who we had to get rid of early as I was very allergic to him. We also had a beautiful dog we had named Fagen who was part Irish Setter and Black Lab
My parents, after I moved out had a (sorry for mis-spellings) a Keesh Hound named Keifer and a Skipperky named Shadow. They have both since passed long ago now and are buried in the yard with other beloved animal friends.

Cat friends over the many years were Nosey, Pandora, Archemedies, Zeus, Bandit, Dodger, and Lenore

I had a twin set of Rottwiellers who I had saved prior to them getting their tails and ears modified who I named Crimson & Saffire (male & female twins) but I had to let them go when they continously got loose and the last time managed to rip a neighbors poodle in half (gross) and I handed them over to a family who had much more room for them and time to care for them. That was a very hard separation. But it was either they go away or get put to sleep. Undecided

I have a soft spot for animals, much the same as I have for children. I will try to dig up the dog's pics to post here
