Gemini, I suggest we do like the PCLinuxOS logo contest: Get outside votes and narrow it down to a couple. Then, we can vote/debate it here amongst us. Some people will vote for the prettiest, but it isn't necessarily the best for the job. That's where the debate comes in.

  Maybe this is too complicated but our members come from several different distros. If our members take them back to get votes on their home forums we would get a broader voter base. But to keep it fair we'd have to trust that noone would push their own artwork.  Give em a week for voting then report the results back here to be tallied.   I know it leaves a lot to trust but our members can be counted on to pull this off. And it kinda gets us a little press.

 OK, I have all the entries so far rounded up and in a file.
 Remember, the deadline for entries is May 28, 2008
 After the deadline, the staff members will have a quick discussion on the best way to handle the voting
 Then, we will set it up, and make all necessary announcements as well as providing a link to the voting area
