We're taking a poll and we want our membership's input. We've used two different styles for the graphic applications sections -- one that is still on the original board -- where every app was broken down into their own section which you can see here...

Seeing at the time we were a pretty young forum, a lot of the sections didn't have many posts in them. But there was the ability to collapse the sections that didn't interest people. In other words, if the only application you were interested in was Gimp, you could collapse all the other sections except Gimp and follow along Gimp posts quite easily.
The current setup breaks down the sections by type of application i.e.
Image Editing
Vector Illustration
3D Modeling and Rendering
Animation and Video
Scripting
We now have more members and the sections do seem to fill up quite easily,
but may make it harder to find a past topics. Members can browse and compare the different bitmap or vector applications. In other words, it's more about the type of application the artist uses instead of the application itself.
