It has been asked, "How do I export an image without the white background?" (such as text) using XaraLX?
Once you have the image you want to export (without any background) such as text, make sure it is the selected object
Select FILE in the top navigation bar, and select Export from that dropdown list give the image a name like "image", the raster filename will be decided upon which you selected in the file extensions tab such as .png, .jgp, .pgf etc
Once all that is set, and you hit "Save" a new dialog/pop-up window will appear where you can now decide how it is exported. Here, will be a few options. The one you want, for this instance, is Pallete Options / Color Depth / True Color
There will be 2 preview windows at the top of this pop-up window... the one on the left will show the results of the options you choose for exporting. When you select True Color, the white background around the image will disappear. Sometimes you will get a warning window that some transparencies within the object will not export correctly under True Color Alpha... but go ahead and hit OK anyway. You can see whether the image looks the way you desire, instantly.
Once you selected True Color, and the white bg has gone... you want to go to the next tab Bitmap Size... it should be marked as "Selected" and show the dimensions of your selected image... Go ahead and click on Export.
You are done. The image will be, where ever you have XaraLX set-up to export images too, and ready to use within any other artwork you wish to create with it.
I will add the images later.. kinda pressed for time at the moment but the above description should be self-explanatory till I add them
